Baptism
What to do if you would like your child to be Baptised at St Peter’s
Do you live in the parish? if not then we need a very good reason why the Baptism should take place here and not in your home parish. Also if we agree, to the Baptism you will need the permission of your home Parish Priest.
Attend a preparation class – these are held in the Coffee Bar (by main entrance into Church car park) on the 1st Sunday of every month at 3:30 pm, and last for about one hour.
Fill out a Baptism application form – which will be given to you at the end of the preparation class.
Book a date – Baptisms can be organised for any Sunday at 12 noon, except the first Sunday of the month. Generally, several children are Baptised on the same date.
You can provisionally book a date for Baptism before attending to the above, if necessary. However we cannot confirm that it will take place until after you have attended the preparation class.
