If you want to get married here there are a few things you need to know before hand.
- To be married here, one of you needs to be a parishioner of St Peters. That means you either live in the parish boundaries or you come to Mass here most Sundays.
- You need to be free to marry in a Catholic Church. This generaly means that neither of you should have been married before either in a church or in a registry office.
- You are prepared to go on a special Marriage Preparation Course - this is usually run by a Catholic organisation called Marriage Care which is based in Cheltenham.
- You will normally need to book the wedding at least 12 months in advance.
Please ring the Parish Office and make an appointment to see one of the priests, when these and other issues can be sorted out in detail.
