First Holy Communion & First Confession
The Programme we currently run is a parish based one and is not dependant on a child being in a Catholic school. In order to make their First Confession and First Holy Communion a child needs to be in at least Year 3 at school.
The programme generally starts in the Autumn Term around October and runs until the Summer. First Confession is during Lent and followed by First Holy Communion around the middle of June. It is run by a team of parishoners and always includes a number of parents of children in the programme. The classes are held on a Sunday at 10.15 or just after the 9.00 Sunday Mass. They take place in our Parish Centre which shares the car park area with the Church.
Children enrolled on the programme are expected to attend Mass every Sunday and are required to 'sign in' when they arrive and wear a yellow sash during the Mass.
