CAFOD

is a group open to all who wish to support the work of the Catholic Church's official aid and development agency.

CAFOD aims to provide help for people in need wherever in the world they may be, irrespective of race or religion. In particular, CAFOD works to help people to help themselves -1000 such projects have been funded in 75 countries.

Cardinal Basil Hume said "CAFOD is an expression of solidarity, of love, of our yearning for justice for the poor in the developing world".

St Peter's CAFOD group activities revolve around the various appeals undertaken during the year - especially the fast days in Lent and Advent.

The group meets as and when required to plan events.
